Destackers with tilt mechanism lift the stack with a lifting/lowering device from the stack feeder, swivel it by about 45°, and let the top layer of the stack slip onto the subsequent mechanization element by gradually lifting the lifting/lowering device layer by layer. The optional slipping edge, over which the layer slips off, can be adjusted flexibly so that deformations of the layer can be compensated for. When a layer slips off, any existing intermediate sticks and squares (for multiple stacks) will also slip off onto the subsequent stick handling unit.
Destackers with tilt mechanism are in particular used in systems with high cycle rates. To reduce the stack change times our tilting destackers can optionally be equipped with an intermediate lifter. The intermediate lifter takes the stack over from the main lifting/lowering device, so that the latter can already travel back into take-over position for a new stack.
